Overview
The MPS PMA-2008 is a second-generation, battery-powered pocket mining anemometer designed for fast and reliable underground ventilation readings. Approved by MSHA as intrinsically safe for use in gassy mines, it is compact enough to fit in a shirt pocket and simple enough to operate with just two push buttons.
Take full 60-second airflow counts with audible signals at the start, every 15 seconds and at the end of the count, or switch to instantaneous velocity mode for quick spot checks behind line curtains, over conveyor belts and in other hard-to-reach areas. The large backlit display, rugged dustproof and waterproof housing with sure-grip overmolding, and user-replaceable impeller make it a dependable tool for daily mine ventilation surveys.
