Overview
The Extech 380260 is an autoranging digital megohmmeter that measures insulation resistance up to 2000 MΩ, with a choice of 250 V, 500 V or 1000 V DC test voltages. It is used to check the insulation of motors, cables, switchgear and wiring during installation, commissioning and preventive maintenance.
The large backlit dual display shows the test voltage output and the insulation resistance at the same time. Low resistance (Lo Ω), continuity and AC/DC voltage functions are built in, and the meter discharges the circuit automatically at the end of each test. A power-lock feature allows hands-free testing, data hold freezes the reading, and the double-molded housing with protective holster stands up to site use. Rated CAT III-1000V. Supplied with heavy-duty test leads, an alligator clip lead, hanging strap, hard carrying case and 6 AA batteries.
