Overview

The compact Extech 380947 is a 400 A True RMS AC/DC mini clamp meter. Its small 0.9 in (23 mm) jaw reaches into tight spaces while giving 1 mA AC resolution and very low-current sensitivity, ideal for current and frequency troubleshooting in plant maintenance, electrical, HVAC and telecom work, as well as fleet, marine and motorcycle repairs.

True RMS measurement gives accurate readings where harmonic distortion would cause errors with average-responding meters. Frequency up to 10 kHz is measured without contact, directly through the clamp jaw. The 4000-count display has a fast 40-segment bargraph, and one-touch auto zero, Min/Max, data hold and auto power off are built in. Rated CAT III-300V.
